On Thursday, February 22nd, members gathered online for the KNX UK Annual General Meeting. We’d like to thank members for such a good turnout – approximately 60% of members attended—a testament to their individual dedication and commitment.

Stakeholders had the opportunity to review the association’s performance and strategic outlook, shaping the course for the year ahead. Chairman Iain Gordon underscored the commitment to generating and disseminating educational content to demonstrate the advantages of KNX technology. Building on the triumph of the 2023 Annual Conference, many members expressed an eagerness to facilitate additional in-person networking opportunities in 2024, fostering stronger connections among members, end-users and specifiers.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the introduction of four new faces to the KNX UK Board, each bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the table.

Andy Davis, Siemens Technologies, adds a robust understanding of automation technologies and market dynamics to the board.

Monika Dove, Ivory Egg UK, brings a wealth of knowledge from the construction and building industry.

Paul Kinghorn, MyKNXStore, brings over 15 years of invaluable experience in the Home Automation and Custom Install sector.

Andy Baker, Baker Stone has four decades of experience spanning telecoms and technology and is an active KNX advocate.

We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to outgoing Board Members Graham Oliver, Ryan Sheppard and Sophie Thomas.

Graham Oliver has been a stalwart of KNX UK for the past 6 years and has been actively involved in many of the changes in recent years. He was awarded Champion of the Year in 2022 for being “an active member of the KNX UK Association throughout, generous with his time, sitting on both the KNX UK board and several of its working groups. Graham and his team have been a true asset to the KNX UK Association, we look forward to continuing to work closely with them.

Ryan Sheppard has been diligent in all his duties as a Board member. He has maintained an enthusiastic and energetic presence on the Board and in different working groups throughout his time with us.  Often volunteering for additional tasks and always delivering on them.

Sophie Thomas took over as caretaker of the Ivory Egg seat last year and immediately hit the ground running her contributions and marketing expertise have helped to restructure and define our marketing strategy in a very short space of time.

All will be greatly missed and we thank them for their time and willingness to volunteer.

The closed post AGM Board Meeting also took place on the same day, during which Iain Gordon and Paul Foulkes were returned as Chair and Vice Chair respectively for the forthcoming year.

They continue to bring stability, a wealth of experience and the ability to consistently review and innovate, driving the association ever-forwards.

KNX UK would like to thank all involved for their continued support.
