How does this Product demonstrate the diversity/flexibility of KNX?
Whether a person feels comfortable in an indoor space depends on the air quality, because in addition to sufficient light, they need sufficient oxygen. The PD2N-KNXs Occulog DX measures the amount of volatile organic compounds (VOC) contained in the air. It detects the presence of vapours, e. g. from people, perfumes, cleaning agents or furniture.
How does this Product add value and ease of use for building owners/occupiers?
This Generation 7 KNX occupancy detector features an LED traffic light with green, yellow and red lights. When a critical value is reached, the sensor warns building users by changing colour, notifying them that ventilation of the rooms is necessary to protect health. Measured values are sent to the KNX bus and can be used for ventilation control.
How has this product resolved an identified need for the building user?
The requirement is for more and more sensing requirements, to ensure that as well as energy efficiency, an area has the right light colour, temperature, humidity etc to ensure an optimum working environment. This can now be achieved with just one sensor, the PD2N KNXs Occulog DX sensor range.
