The Product

Faradite – Motion Sensor 360 – KNX

How does this Product demonstrate the diversity/flexibility of KNX?

With just a 49mm diameter, the Faradite Motion Sensor 360 – KNX is a remarkably small KNX PIR sensor with a huge set of functions. The sensor is designed to provide a range of functions for both residential and commercial KNX installations alike. The sensor can have up to 4 independent functions each with independent timeouts and configuration parameters. The range of functions each function can perform are: Switching, Dimming Value Transmitter, Scene, HVAC, Advanced (value transmitting including RGB) and Constant light control. Correctly commissioned the motion sensor can drastically reduce energy use in buildings by ensuring no energy hungry systems are left running in unoccupied areas. There is a nearly endless list of possibilities with this hugely powerful KNX sensor.

How does this Product add value and ease of use for building owners/occupiers?

A single Motion Sensor 360 – KNX from Faradite can provide control of 4 simultaneous independent functions and has 6 function types to choose from including switching, dimming value, scenes, HVAC, constant lighting control and advanced value sending with 10 different object types.

This means the single sensor in a room can provide intelligent automation for all systems in the room reducing the need for multiple devices.

How has this product resolved an identified need for the building user?

We developed this brand new KNX sensor in house, at our head office in Woking, Surrey to give the discerning KNX installer a tiny, extremely discreet motion sensor option for their KNX projects.

The installation hole required for the flush mount sensor is just 25mm, and the visible front of the device is just 49mm when installed. This makes it one of the most discreet sensors available in the market with a vast amount of functionality inside the tiny device!

What makes this product award worthy?

We have spent a lot of the development time ensuring the ETS entry is in clear, easy to understand english. The multiple timeouts, advanced functions, diagnostics tools, constant light control feature (daylight harvesting) all provide the KNX installer a powerful weapon in their arsenal.

This sensor was fully developed in the UK and as will all Faradite products, will be ‘Made in Britain’ certified.

We have worked with a select number of KNX partners in the UK and India for Beta testing phase and they have been extremely impressed with the functionality on offer from the sensor.

We strongly believe in British engineering and manufacturing and feel our product deserves to be recognised as a leader in the KNX field.
